Christopher Sartain is the spiritual director of Kriya Yoga Chile Ashram, a 6 acre retreat center in southern Chile.  His Guru, Roy Eugene Davis, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, authorized Christopher to teach Kriya Yoga and to initiate seekers into the path of Kriya Yoga in July 2012.  He is also the director of the school Vinyasa Yoga Chile, which offers Yoga teacher trainings in Vinyasa Yoga and Yoga Therapy.  He is a 500 hour certified yoga instructor and also has a certification in Ayurveda.

Christopher is a prolific author and has published more than ten books in English and Spanish.  His most popular book is The Sacred Science of Yoga and the Five Koshas, which has sold at least 10,000 copies in more than 14 different countries.    He is also the host of The Western Yoga Podcast, which deals with yoga and meditation as they are taught and practiced in the West.

Christopher is originally from the United States, but he has lived in Chile since 2014 with his wife Carolina.  He has his bachelor's degree in Political Science and his master's degree in Education.  Prior to dedicating himself fully to teaching meditation and spirituality, Christopher taught in several different public and private schools for 9 years.

Christopher is no longer associated with any organizations related to Kriya.  He is an independent master of Kriya Yoga.  Christopher does not consider himself a Guru, because he does not require the loyalty, devotion, service, or money of his students.  Instead, he considers himself a Westernized teacher of Kriya Yoga liberated from the cultural and religious limitations of Indian traditionalism.
